Corrected figures, a published methodology, and who you are buying from

We found two wrong numbers and fixed them. Both are now on our errata page, with dates.

Debt-to-equity was being shown a hundred times too large — Apple read 76.54x against a real 0.77x — and carried a "Leveraged" label to match. The arithmetic was fine; one part of the system expressed the ratio as a percentage while every part that displayed it treated it as a ratio.

Fair value estimated Apple at $28.61 against a market price of $332. Peers were ranked by the dollar difference in company size, which cannot distinguish anything at Apple's scale, so the comparison set came out as Dell, Super Micro and three much smaller hardware firms.

Both are written up in full at /errata, including who could have seen them. That page is now permanent: when we get a number wrong, it goes there.

Every US stock had quietly lost most of its tabs. A failed lookup was being read as "this company does not file with the SEC", so Apple, Microsoft and every other US equity were classified as ETFs — which removed Financials, Dividends, Peers and the four grade tabs from all of them. Nothing errored; the tabs simply were not there. They are back.Symbols we cannot price now say so. Searching "swedbank" finds Swedbank, because the company is real — but no licensed feed we hold covers Stockholm, and about a quarter of the searchable universe is non-US. Those pages used to show an empty shell with a retry button that could never succeed, and a risk report built from placeholder inputs. They now say plainly that no licensed price feed covers the listing. How we calculate positioning is published. /methodology/cot gives the exact CFTC dataset and trader category per market, the formula, the three-year lookback, and a section on what the data cannot tell you — including that only positions above the CFTC's reporting thresholds are counted at all. It links the raw CFTC files so you can check any figure yourself.

While writing it we found that commodity cards were showing Managed Money's net position under a "Producer" label. Fixed.

Who you are contracting with. Our Terms named a registry code that did not resolve to any company in the Estonian register. They now carry the correct code, 14414308, and our full registered address. Liability was capped in two different directions in two different documents; there is now one limit, in the Terms, and it never applies to intent or gross negligence.Refunds are 14 days, in full, everywhere. The pricing page promised that and the refund policy said charges were non-refundable. The promise made at checkout is the real one.

Where every feed comes from is now at /data-sources.
